We are often asked about the costs involved with a dental implant. Because we understand that the price can be a factor in your decision making, we offer free consultations at our Edmonton office to review our dental implant fees with you. In general, the surgical cost of a single dental implant is about $1,950. In some instances, there may be additional costs associated with the surgery which could including tissue/bone graft or sinus lifts. Please note that these are only potential additional costs, and we would be happy to review these with you during your Free Consultation. We are proud to provide affordable dental implants in line with the Alberta Dental Fee Guide.
In general, after the surgical implant is placed, we wait 3-4 months before placing the Crown on the Implant. This is to allow for healing/osseointegration. After that, we proceed with scanning you for a crown, with cost in line with the Alberta dentla fee guide.
Since implants can cost more than other methods of tooth replacement, some components of the procedure may not be covered by your dental plan. However in most cases this is a one-time cost, unlike other types of tooth replacement that may present recurrent costs over time.
Some insurance policies have started to cover implants by substituting what they would pay towards alternative care costs (such as a bridge) towards the cost of an implant. We suggest you contact your insurance provider to find out if you have coverage for the treatment. Once this is determined, our staff would be more than happy to submit a comprehensive pre-determination to your insurance company on your behalf. In addition, we offer direct billing to help offset your upfront out of pocket expense.
